In recent years, Squash NSW has established a suite of sub-committees aligned to its strategic plan and operational needs. - Finance & Governance Committee (FRAC)
Purpose: Oversee financial sustainability, compliance, and governance.
Contributions:
- Reviews budgets, financial reports, and risk registers
- Supports audit processes.
- Monitors regulatory and policy compliance.
- Infrastructure & Facilities Committee
Purpose: Improve access to quality squash facilities across NSW.
Contributions:
- Identifies infrastructure priorities.
- Supports clubs in facility development and funding bids.
- Advocates with local and state governments
- Nominations Committee
Purpose: Manage appointments and support effective board composition.
Contributions:
- Identifies and vets new board and committee members.
- Ensures diversity and skill balance.
- Plans for leadership succession
- Strategic Growth & Participation Committee
Purpose: to provide informed guidance and recommendations to the Board on strategies, initiatives and partnerships the grow participation across all demographics
Contributions:
- Monitor the growth of participation and retention in squash across NSW
- Builds participation through Squash Aus “Squash Stars”.
- Resource succession planning for Squash NSW to grow footprint and deliver quality programs e.g. Coaches, Referees and Volunteers.
- Philanthropy & Fundraising Committee
Purpose: Develop alternative revenue streams through giving and sponsorship.
Contributions:
- Builds relationships with donors and partners.
- Coordinates fundraising campaigns.
- Oversees Sponsorship partnerships with entities like the Australian Sports Foundation, Banking institutions.
Workgroups
1. Junior development & participation Workgroup
Purpose: Engage and empower young people in the sport.
Contributions:
- Advises on junior programs and participation trends.
- Encourages youth leadership and retention.
- Supports player pathways and inclusion.
2. Competition Division Workgroup
Purpose: Competition Division Committee is to organise, manage, and ensure the fair execution of competitions within Squash NSW
