NSW Juniors AJC Day 3 Wrap Up
Published Tue 30 Sep 2025
Day 3 was a little warmer, the kitchen had restocked the Jacket Potatoes, the courts had been cleaned, the coffee was hot and we were ready for the semi finals.
U11 Girls- Ruisha Chu continued her scintillating form to despatch her opponent 3-0 and will be playing in her 1st National Final. Kaira Malhotra played well against the no.1 seed but Hannah Leung (QLD) just played the bigger points better on this occasion, Kaira will go on to play for a 3rd place finish.
U11 Boys - Nathan Lin marched on to the final again matching Ruisha's tenacity and shot making skills. Owen Boardman had a tough task in the other semifinal against Freddie Goldsmith (VIC) losing out 3-0.
U13 Girls - In an all NSW semifinal Elizabeth Wang came out the victor against no.1 seed Annette Chow 3-0 with 2 of the 3 games going close. Elizabeth will take on Yashica Mohan (VIC) in the final.
U13 Boys - Benjamin Boardman will compete in the final against Aleister Loo (VIC) after winning in 3 in the semi final this afternoon.
U15 Girls - Cleo Poulava steps into the final after a mammoth effort in her semifinal winning 13-11 in the 5th game. She will take on no.1 seed Olivia van Zon on Day 4.
U15 Boys - No.1 seed Max Jones will be flying the NSW flag in the final tomorrow after a solid 3-0 win. He will face Kanishk Reddy (SA).
U17 Girls - Emilia Scott had another titanic match up with no.1 seed Tina Ma unfortunately losing out 3-2 this time (they will meet again in the teams event). In the bottom half of the draw Eden Poulava progresses to the final after a tight 3-1 win over Lily Wilson (QLD).
U17 Boys - Kasper Cheung powered through to the final with a 3-0 win over Joel Raj. In the other half saw another all NSW match up between Henry Kross and Ethan Middleton. This match was entertaining and always going to be fast paced with lots of absorbing rallies. Henry Kross won 3-0 and will face NSW team mate Kasper in the final.
U19 Boys - No.1 Jackson Wylie proved too strong for ¾ seed Haider Naqvi, the high pace and attacking style mixed with incredible retrieving skills of Jackson proved too much for his opponent taking the win 3-0. In the bottom half Marcus Wang showed few signs of fatigue after his Day 2 marathon match and was too accurate and steady for Josh Raj setting up an all NSW final.
All of the other NSW players are fighting hard across the draws to take their highest possible finishes, keep going and push to the very end!!
