NSW Sweep the 2025 Australian Junior Championships

The 2025 Australian Junior Championships (AJC) in Ballarat were a showcase of determination, teamwork, and emerging talent — and NSW once again led the charge, claiming five national individual titles and completing a clean sweep by taking out both Division 1 and Division 2 in the Teams Event.

The week-long event at Ballarat Squash & Racquetball Fitness Centre brought together Australia’s best young players, with NSW athletes and coaches demonstrating excellence on and off the court.

Individual Championships – NSW Shine Across All Divisions

NSW juniors delivered a series of brilliant performances throughout the individual event, highlighted by several all-NSW finals and national champions across multiple age groups.

🏅 NSW National Champions:

  • U19 Boys:Jackson Wylie (Elanora SC) def. Marcus Wang (NSW) 3–0

  • U17 Boys:Kasper Cheung (NSW) def. Henry Kross (NSW) 3–1

  • U15 Boys:Max Jones (NSW) def. Kanishk Doddam Reddy (SA) 3–1

  • U11 Boys:Nathan Lin (NSW) def. Freddie Goldsmith (VIC) 3–0

  • U11 Girls:Ruisha Chu (NSW) def. Hannah Leung (QLD) 3–0

🏅 NSW Finalists:

  • Marcus Wang – U19 Boys

  • Henry Kross – U17 Boys

  • Eden-Alma Poulava – U17 Girls

  • Cleo Poulava – U15 Girls

  • Benjamin Boardman – U13 Boys

  • Elizabeth Wang – U13 Girls

These results reflect the outstanding work happening across NSW clubs and development programs, from grassroots participation to elite junior competition.

Teams Championships – NSW Do the Double in Ballarat

In the Teams Event, NSW carried their momentum through to the final day of competition — producing thrilling performances to claim both Division 1 and Division 2 titles.

It all came down to the final session on Saturday morning, with NSW and Queensland battling for top spot in Division 1. After a series of hard-fought matches, NSW held firm to defeat Queensland 9–7, securing the overall championship. Victoria finished in third place after a convincing 14–2 win over South Australia.

In Division 2, NSW continued their dominant form, defeating Victoria 7–1 to take the title. Queensland rounded out the top two with a 7–1 win over ACT, while Tasmania celebrated their return to the national stage with a 5–3 victory over Western Australia.
